Good Afternoon, Del Rey Families! We have some important information and dates to share as we prepare for our first day of school on August 17th.
Teacher Notification - 8/7: Parents/Guardians will be notified of their child's teacher via our robocall system. Teachers will contact each family individually with specific instructions for distance learning during the week of 8/10-8/14. If you need to update your contact information, please contact the school directly. The school phone number is 760-245-7941.
Chromebook/Textbook/ID Distribution - 8/10, 11, 13 & 14: Each school site will distribute Chromebooks, textbooks, and ID cards. Chromebooks will be distributed to all students in grades TK-6 who have not previously received a device during the prior school year. Distribution schedules for each school will vary and will be posted on the school's website and the district homepage no later than Friday, August 7th.
 
Meal Service - 8/14: Weekly meal service begins Friday, August 14th, from 11AM - 1PM at all 18 school sites. Each student will receive a meal pack with breakfast and lunch for five days. Student ID cards must be presented and scanned in order to receive their meal pack. Only currently enrolled VESD students are eligible to receive meal service.
